Natalie J. Shook is a Professor and Director of the Biobehavioral Laboratory in the School of Nursing at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Shook’s research focuses on the extent to which cognitive and affective processes influence psychological and physical health. She is particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms by which mindfulness practice improves health and well-being. Hali Kil is the Director of the All Families Lab and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University, and Investigator at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Kil’s research examines mental health, mindfulness, and cultural factors in the family, with the aim to foster parents’ and children’s psychological flourishing and positive parent-child relationships.
