If you’re having concerns about freshness and odor. You deserve to feel fresh and confident.
Here are the basic do’s and Don’ts:
You want to use products that are going to be gentle and not irritate your skin. Use a mild soap or pH balanced wash that’s suitable for sensitive skin to clean and rinse the outer parts of your vagina once a day by gently washing with either your fingers or a face cloth in and around the folds of skin.
This will clean away any germs, sweat and build up from the day to not only reduce any odor but also help prevent things like UTIs and bacterial infections developing.
It’s totally normal for vaginas to have a slight smell (and you’re probably the only one to notice) but if you’re concerned, or you’ve noticed a change in smell or discharge we’d recommend booking an appointment with your family doctor or nurse to have this checked out. It could be an easily treatable yeast infection or bacterial overgrowth.
What shouldn’t I be using?
This is a very sensitive area of your body so you want to avoid any products that are heavily scented or have a strong soap. Everybody’s different, so let your body guide you on what works for you.
