Five fashion staples I’ve bought for spring and summer 2025 coming at you!

Hi, friend! How are you? We just finished up a lovely Mother’s Day weekend and are back into a busy week. Dave’s been traveling for the first part of the week, so Brady and I are doing our thing. When Dave goes out of town, I let Brady sleep in the the bed with me, and he loves it. I’m sure he won’t want to do it forever, but it sure is cute to wake up to him.

Anywho, I digress. Back to the point of the post: Some of the best things I’ve ever bought have been recommended to me by a friend or by social media, so that’s why I always like to share what I’m buying and loving in my life, especially when those items work out really well. This post is all about a few things I’ve ordered to wear recently — my fashion staples for spring and summer 2025. Here we go …

Everyday high-waisted white jean shorts

Last year, all summer long, I told myself I really needed some better jean shorts. I love to throw on jean shorts with just about anything. And the two blue-denim jean shorts I owned, as of last year, were both getting a bit small, tight and short. They weren’t all that comfortable, and I didn’t feel great in either of them. And yet, I always wanted to reach for them. Well, this year, I wasn’t going to let that happen again, so I found some great jean shorts, and they’re white.

Here are the high-waisted jean shorts I bought in a size 27. They’re a perfect high-waisted fit, they aren’t too short (4-inch inseam), and they’re so very soft. Big fan! I’ve probably worn them five times already, and I just got them a month ago. When I say staple item, these white jean shorts are number one. They’re pricier than my other jean shorts have been, but they feel like much better quality, so I’ll take it. Find the DAZE high-waisted denim cutoff shorts here.

Comfy and cute metallic silver sneakers

I go to a lot of sporting events throughout the spring and summer, and the only shoes I like on my feet to when I go to sporting events are sneakers. I just added these silver metallic adidas sneakers to my closet, and I love them.

They have a little flare and are light and comfy. I’ve already worn them a couple times, and I like to look down and see that metallic pop on my feet. Find the adidas Country OG sneakers here.

Blue and gold oversized aviator sunglasses

I’ve been wearing the same scratched-up Quay brand sunglasses for like three years, and they’ve been so good to me, but it’s been time to move on. I finally decided to get a couple new pairs, and I sprung for a brand that I learned about through Instagram.

I saw a bunch of influencers post about DIFF Eyewear, I looked it up, and I liked what I saw. Plus, my sunglasses were buy-one-get-one, so I got two, which is awesome. These blue and gold oversized aviator-style sunglasses are super stylish, and I’ve already worn them a few times. I’ve promised myself I’m keeping them in the case so they stay safe, and so far so good. Find the DIFF Eyewear Lenox sunglasses here.

Black fit-and-flare midi dress

I’ve wanted an everyday black midi dress that I could dress up or down to wear during spring and summer for quite some time. I initially ordered a midi dress from Beyond Yoga that I kept seeing ads for, but I didn’t like it at all. I returned that one and instead ordered this one from Aritzia, and I love it. I’ve only worn it once so far, and it felt great. I’m very into how the bodice is made of a contour fabric, similar to the fabric of two tank tops I have from this same brand.

I got a small (which is snug up top), and the skirt is perfect, the dress has pockets, you can wear a regular bra with it, and it has the most flattering and comfy fit-and-flare silhouette. I’ll be in this a lot this spring and have already planned to bring it on our big summer trip. Find the Aritzia Revive dress here.

Small white crossbody purse

Last summer, every time I needed a light-colored purse, I reached for the same cream bag that I’ve had for years. I love that cream bag, but I always wished I had a white one for times when white was more the focus of my outfit. I bought this adorable white Kurt Geiger mini Kensington purse before we went to the Kentucky Derby, and I love the way it looks. It doesn’t fit a ton, just a lipgloss, comb, some credit cards and my phone, but it’s plenty of space for a night out.

This is my second purse from this brand. While it’s not cheap, it’s also far more affordable than luxury designer bags, and yet looks just as cute. I love all the colorful styles of this brand of bags too and could see myself getting a multicolor/mixed fabric one one day. Find the Kurt Geiger mini Kensington crossbody purse here.

And there you have it! Five fashion staples I’ve bought for spring and summer 2025. I’m sure you’ll see me in these items on repeat, because I’m a 100-percent outfit repeater, and that’s not changing any time soon. Thanks for stopping by to read, and have an amazing day!
