Hospitality Health has relaunched its Wellness Charter to promote mental health and wellbeing across Scotland’s hospitality industry.

The Charter encourages businesses to prioritise employee mental health by providing practical support, such as mental health training for managers, access to Employee Assistance Programmes, and promoting a healthy work-life balance. By joining, businesses show their commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel supported and valued.

Already, 10 Scottish hospitality businesses, including Crerar Hotels and Buzzworks, have signed up. Hospitality Health says the initiative helps employers create positive work environments, build team morale, and highlight the rewarding career opportunities within hospitality.

Gordon McIntyre MBE, Founder of Hospitality Health, said, We’re committed to ensuring that no one in hospitality faces mental health challenges alone. The Wellness Charter aims to inspire businesses to put people first and create healthier, more supportive workplaces.”

Chris Wayne-Wills, CEO of Crerar Hotels Group, adds, “Joining the Wellness Charter has transformed how we support employee wellbeing. It’s helped us build a stronger, more engaged team, and Hospitality Health has been invaluable in making mental wellness a top priority.”

The relaunch also features a new look designed by hospitality branding agency Thiss Away, with fresh illustrations and a logo highlighting the importance of mental wellness in the sector.
