Daria Bilodid, the accomplished Ukrainian judoka, recently posted a playful yet striking image of herself posing alongside the iconic Bruce Lee statue in Hong Kong, capturing her admiration for martial arts. With the vibrant Hong Kong skyline glowing in the background, Daria mirrored Lee’s legendary stance, showcasing her passion for physical and mental discipline. Beyond her love for judo, Daria is committed to a lifestyle of wellness, positivity, and gratitude. Here’s how this world champion maintains her strength, both on and off the mat.

She aims to have a positive mindset. On Instagram, Daria said “life is too short to wake up in a bad mood, drink bad coffee and think about yesterday’s problems 😄Have a nice week everyone 😊,” (translated to english) to inspire others to not sweat the small stuff. According to the Mayo Clinic, “positive thinking doesn’t mean that you ignore life’s less pleasant situations. Positive thinking just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst.”

Daria looks to inspire others. A “few days ago I did my judo seminar in Hong Kong. I showed my favorite technique in newaza and tachiwaza, did an autograph and photo sessions and awarded medalists during the Asian Open. I got a lot of wonderful emotions and a positive energy. I’m glad that I have the opportunity to share my experience with athletes from all over the world❤️It’s energizing🔥,” she said on Instagram (translated).

She’s filled with gratitude. “I am very grateful to this incredible sport that taught me to overcome difficulties, to be disciplined and never give up, no matter how difficult it is. Judo has given me many unforgettable moments, amazing people and different emotions which will be in my heart forever. I am happy that one day I decided to do judo ❤️ #worldjudoday,” she said on Instagram (translated).

It’s important to her to stay active, and she enjoys doing so by playing sports. On Instagram, Daria said (translated to english), “a fact about me: I love sports, I love what I do and I love to have new experiences,” on a photo of her in a yoga pose, stretching with her DETOX mineral water.

She knows that in addition to building physical strength, it’s important to build mental strength and her confidence. On Instagram “translated to english” she said “confidence is the best accessory 😉,” on a photo of her. “Self-confidence is linked to almost every element involved in a happy and fulfilling life,” as seen on Psychology Today.
