What is your current weight? 177 pounds
How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
I follow a vegetarian, low-carb diet and made it a priority to move my body daily – Whether it’s 15 to 30 minutes of pilates, yoga, or aerobics. I stay consistent.
I also got smarter about my gut health. I’ve cut back on intermittent fasting, and now I just focus on staying at or below 1200 calories a day.
Looking back on the lessons you’ve learned on your journey, which one stands out the most?
It’s definitely a mind-over-matter thing when it comes to reaching my weight loss goals and sticking to them. You have to create a lifestyle that works for you, one that feels authentic and sustainable. Also, learning to love your body now is key. Once you master self-love and self-discipline, everything becomes easier.
Would you like to offer any new or different advice to women who want to lose weight?
Yes! Learn yourself. Lose the weight on your terms. Don’t limit yourself with unrealistic rules. Showing up for yourself is the best investment you can make. And if you’re struggling, that’s okay. We’ve all been there.
Here’s a cute tip: Find healthier, low-carb, high-protein alternatives to your favorite foods and make them your own. Little swaps like that can make you feel less restricted and more empowered.
Another tip: Find workouts that actually fit you. Challenge yourself, but don’t overdo it. You don’t have to work out like the next person. Find your flow. Even 15 to 30 minutes a day is enough to build momentum. Walking is a great place to start; if you do it in nature, you also get a mental boost.
Most importantly, block out the noise. Bet on you. Keep going. You got this!
