Please go write your teachers. They are still thinking about you. ❤️

What a surprise to see one of my teachers at my Target meet and greet last weekend! Ms. Lyttle was my 2nd grade teacher at Welby Way Magnet School and I’ll never forget the kindness she extended towards me and my family. She was an incredible teacher but also cared for her students like they were her own kids.

I remember one day, my parents couldn’t pick me up from school so she offered to drive me home that evening. She didn’t have to but she did, and it’s things like that make me think of her and how she’s doing every once in a while.

I don’t know why I hesitate when I think about reaching out to my teachers. I think about this a lot actually. I guess I’m scared they won’t remember me and it’ll be “weird” but honestly who cares because there’s nothing weird about telling someone how much of a positive impact they’ve left on your life, FOR life.

So, no more hesitating. I’m writing my favorite teachers and professors right now, and thanking them for helping to shape me into the woman I am today. I urge you to do the same and make them smile.
