It is the holiday season again!
I figured I would share my latest purchases and obsessions with you. These are all health-related purchases that I have been enjoying wildly.
I am aware that the holidays can make many people anxious. I have always had a gooshy feeling during that season even though I am always away from family.
I connect the holidays to a certain feeling in nature -it is the approach of the winter solstice. The winter solstice is the return of the light – a big event in nature.
Regardless of whether you love or hate or are indifferent to the holiday season, here are some health ideas that you can consider for yourself or as gifts.
Below I will provide you with affiliate links where if I have such. If you click on them a small portion of the sales goes to me. Thank you.
BOOKS
Books are a good gift for yourself. They can make the holidays sweet and fulfilling.
I have been buying a lot of children’s books but here I will share the books I am currently reading. (only 3 out of the many books I am reading)
I am head over heels for this one.
Amazon https://amzn.to/48OQPKY
I just started it last week and it is mind-blowing.
John R. Lee book on hormones. You can get any of his books but his menopause and perimenopause books are amazing. The Perimenopause book can apply to pretty much any age.
Both books are foundational. I don’t agree with their supplement recommendations but overall the books are a solid foundation in understanding the female hormones correctly. They sort out the hormone replacement confusion. They cover some alternative therapies.
RED LIGHT
a good panel is always a splurge and the holidays are the time of the year with the biggest sales. I use my red light panel daily. Red light is best used in the morning after we get exposed to the natural light outside. The panels can be too bright at night time, which can interfere with melatonin production. However, when we use them during the day when the lighting outside is naturally bright a red light pannel can improve our sleep quality.

I have a full-body panel – an older model from 2022. I have been using it, on a consistent base, since I bought it.

They are effective and affordable and they have a great pair for kids. i use the orange lens. I also have a few red light night lights for our bathroom so we don’t have to turn on the bright lights during the night. I also use their yellow light bulb before bed.
A lot of blue light blockers can be very pricey. This is middle of the road pricing and they do block the the spectrum of light they say they do.
I typically wear them if I am going to be at a very bright-lit place after sunset. Blue light toxicity can cause depression, mood disorders, and hormonal imbalance. The light spectrum that comes into our eyes is meant to regulate our body and sink it with the Earth’s circadian rhythms. When we are exposed to non-native frequencies such as EMF and artificial lighting we can disregulate our body. Our body keeps getting chaotic and confusing signals – such as summertime mid-day bright light in the middle of winter after sunset. Artificial bright lights can create dopamine deficiency and a whole, host of other issues. Light regulates every single system in the body. I have tried to dim my house so that the lighting imitates that in nature.
The company also sells red light panels.
This is the latest addition to my routine. I’ve been meaning to try a hydrogen water bottle. This company reached out to me. I was already on the market for one so I agreed to try it out. While the stronger machines run in the $3-6k price and I am not shopping for one now I enjoy this bottle. It’s very high quality. Borosilicate glass.

A very affordable, health-promoting, and gorgeous bracelet.

I love this sauna. It has zero EMF inside. The wood is non-treated, no glue wood.
I have been thinking of buying a walking pad for years. After we came back from our summer vacation I missed the lifestyle – walking everywhere. I don’t get to go for walks much lately so I figured it’s time to get a walking pad.
This one is affordable and lightweight. Very simple. No bells and whistles. Just an on and off button plus speed adjustments.
WALKING PAD WITH INCLINE- UNDER DESK
I use it daily after my morning routine – gardening, sunrise, sun exposure, homeschooling. While I walk, I check my emails, social media, etc. I often listen to podcasts while I walk. I don’t walk at high speed but I’d rather walk than stay sedentary while I do computer stuff. Typically before I notice I have already done a mile and a half.
This post can be a mile long but I want to keep it short and sweet.
My latest obsession has been natural fibers to the max.
Thrifted organic, linen, hemp, and wool clothes. I have been switching up my wardrobe and it has been surprisingly fun. I got some cool clothes at thredup.

Let me know if you join and what goodies you find. So far I have gotten linen dresses for gardening and as pajamas. Hemp overalls, beautiful dresses, and some very warm cashmere sweaters as well as yak and wool cardigan. i also got some crazy cool 100% linen cardigans. I am trying to wear linen with linen and wool with wool. Meaning if I am wearing a linen dress, I am aiming to have a linen cardigan over it. Apparently, the frequency of clothes works better when we don’t mix different fibers.
I got some organic cotton workout clothes. I am still in the process of figuring out the yoga video clothes.
I have gotten some merino and Cashmere cardigans for my daughter.
All in all, I have found some amazing fabrics and designs on the website. Too many to mention here.
For lounging around the house I recommend Eileen Fishers linen clothes. You can find many “as new” clothes on the website.
Jonny got copper bottles for Loti and I and we have been using them daily. We also put a copper coin in out water dispenser but that’s a topic for a post dedicated to water.
I will do an additional gift guide later but these are my most current ideas and things I use.
